work in the sector by qualifying as a specialised workforce
The Global Wind Organisation (GWO) is a non-profit entity established by wind turbine manufacturers and operators. Its mission is to create a work environment free from injuries within the wind energy sector by developing unified international standards for safety training and emergency response.
GWO training standards define the core requirements for courses approved by GWO members. These standards are collaboratively developed by member organizations and are based on the real-world risks and hazards faced by technicians on-site. Training providers that meet these standards are recognized for their expertise and ability to deliver high-quality, compliant instruction.
STS delivers a comprehensive portfolio of training programs tailored specifically for the wind energy sector. These courses range from foundational entry-level training to advanced modules for experienced professionals. Our GWO-certified courses equip participants with the skills and credentials needed to work safely and effectively in the global wind industry.
Any individual with an active training record in GWO’s WINDA database is deemed competent according to the learning objectives of the respective standard. GWO members recognize this record as valid proof of the participant’s knowledge and capabilities in line with the defined competencies.
