INFO ABOUT COURSE
The Global Wind Organization (GWO) BST (Basic Safety Training) course is essential training for workers in the wind industry, both onshore and offshore. It is designed to provide participants with a solid foundation in safety and critical skills for working on wind farms. The key aspects of GWO’s BST training for both onshore and offshore workers are described here.
Secure your professional future with GWO (Global Wind Organization) professional competence certification.
GWO First Aid module is to enable participants, through theoretical and practical training, to recognise signs and symptoms of life threating situations and administer safe and effective first aid in the wind turbine industry/WTG environment in order to save lives and prevent further injury, until the casualty can be handed over to the next level of care.
In order to complete GWO First Aid course, delegates must be WINDA registered before arriving for the course.
GWO First Aid provides the skills and knowledge to administer safe and effective first aid in the wind turbine industry.
The training is designed to enable delegates to work in a safe manner and meet emergency response requirements in accordance with GWO Basic Safety Training (BST).
The course involves a combination of practical and theoretical training.
Delegates completing a GWO First Aid training course will be able to;
The course is a mix of both practical and theoretical sessions during which delegates will be required to demonstrate their knowledge and understanding of the course contents.
